excursion to the church of santa valburga and lake thara
from moarhof continue for 500 m in a southerly direction through the town and around old farmsteads and the fountain. then turn left and up along the path into the woods until you see the church. from here you can enjoy a fantastic view towards brunico and the crest of the border. afterwards you can continue to the beautiful lake of thara where there is a small refreshment point.
the saint francis way - the riva falls
from caminata follow the road until the village of bad winkel. after passing a farm you arrive to the crossroad that leads to the beginning of a broad path leading to the 3 waterfalls of riva. continuing along the path for about 15 minutes you will reach the natural water features of the waterfalls. the highest point is located at the church of santa chiara and san francesco, which calls for a well-deserved break.

the cableway to speikboden opens every tuesday morning at 6 to allow an effortless climb to 2,400 m and watch the rising of the sun surrounded by a breathtaking panorama of peaks.
